AST SpaceMobile is Hiring a Human Resource Coordinator Near Midland, TX

AST SpaceMobile and our global partners are building the first and only space-based cellular broadband network to be accessible by standard smartphones. Called SpaceMobile, this ultra-powerful network is being designed to provide connectivity at 4G/5G speeds everywhere on the planet – on land, at sea and in flight.

Summary:

The Human Resource Coordinator will provide support to various human resource functions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the HR Department.
  • Monitors tardy and absenteeism reports and ensure proper documentation is issued.
  • Maintains and processes all state required documents in a timely, efficient manner.
  • Assist 3rd party auditors with HR information needed for SOX compliance reporting.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR contact.
  • Assigns and tracks required training programs to meet statutory requirements.
  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Files documents into appropriate employee files.
  • Assists with administration of equity compensation program.
  • Handles day-to-day payroll items such as state tax requests.
  • Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
  • Other HR tasks as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Familiarity with human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Highly computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook e-mail, and other related business and communication tools.
  • Experience with an HRIS database.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
  • 1-2 years of professional HR experience.
